Ethereum Whale Stability: Quiet Signs Before a Potential Big Bang

Over the past seven days, Ethereum (ETH) has shown outstanding performance with an increase of around 14%.

However, behind this price surge, there is an interesting dynamic: Ethereum whales remain calm, maintaining their positions without making any major moves.

Despite the temporary rally, Ethereum’s price since April 2 has yet to consistently stay above the psychological level of US$1,900.

A strong resistance level at US$1,828 has become a crucial point that must be broken before ETH can move toward higher targets at US$1,954 and even US$2,104.

The market now waits to see whether there will be further momentum or selling pressure that could slow down the pace.

BBTrend Declines: Is This a Sign the Market is Cooling Down?

According to information we cited from Beincrypto, one technical indicator that stands out is the BBTrend (Bollinger Band Trend), which currently sits at 8.77—down from 11.83 in just the past two days.

Although the number has declined, the indicator remains in the positive zone, maintaining a bullish signal over the last three days.

This shows that even though the upward momentum is beginning to ease, Ethereum has not lost its structure as a strong asset.

The drop in BBTrend could be an early indication of a consolidation phase, where the market takes a breather before deciding its next major direction.

In this context, the inability of buyers to maintain momentum could open the door for higher volatility, potential corrections, or sideways movement in the near term.

Ethereum Whales: Stability Amid Market Uncertainty

Looking deeper, data shows that the number of whales—wallets holding between 1,000 and 10,000 ETH—stands at 5,458.

This number increased slightly from 5,442 on April 21 to 5,457 on April 23, and has remained relatively stable since then without much fluctuation.

This condition suggests that major holders are choosing neither to accumulate further nor to sell off their holdings, seemingly waiting for the right moment.

This stability could signal that the market is in a “holding its breath” phase, looking for a strong catalyst—whether fundamental or technical—to drive the next major move.
