MicroStrategy Rebranding, Bitcoin Portfolio Reaches 500K BTC
Technology company Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, has once again increased its Bitcoin holdings, bringing the total investment to 500,000 BTC.
Latest Acquisition Details
In a document submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, March 24, 2025, Strategy announced the purchase of 6,911 Bitcoin between March 17 and March 23, 2025. This transaction was valued at over US$584 million at an average price of US$84,529 per coin.
As a result, Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings have reached 506,137 BTC, acquired at a total cost of approximately US$33.7 billion or an average of US$66,608 per coin, including fees and other expenses.
Acquisition Funding Source
This purchase was funded through the issuance of new shares announced on March 21, 2025. Strategy sold the shares at a price of US$85 each with a 10% coupon.
The company estimates it will raise approximately US$711 million from this corporate action, which is scheduled to be completed on March 25, 2025.

The acquisition took place amid negative market sentiment due to concerns over trade wars and global tariff policies.
Several analysts anticipate that this uncertainty may affect the performance of asset markets, including digital assets, through early April.
